Overview

Mixed Wheels, Maximum Fun.

Carve the way up front, let loose at the back—the Claymore MX takes the award-winning Claymore platform and injects it with added playfulness. Now available in a stunning new range of colours inspired by Scotland’s heritage, this long-travel enduro machine doesn’t just look the part—it’s built to charge.

Featuring a reworked rear triangle designed to accommodate a 27.5” wheel at the back, the Claymore MX is the first mullet setup in the Deviate range—blending the speed and stability of a 29er front wheel with the responsiveness of a smaller rear wheel. Whether you’re sending steep descents, railing corners, or throwing shapes in the air, the Claymore MX is ready to take whatever you throw at it.

As always, we stand behind our commitment to reliability and longevity. The Claymore MX is backed by our Lifetime Bearing Replacement Programme, along with our Lifetime Frame Warranty and Crash Replacement Programme—so you can ride harder with total confidence.

Tech

Grease Ports as Standard

Grease all major pivot and linkage bearings without the need to do any disassembly with 7 built-in grease ports across the bike. Typically, bearings don't need replacing for 2+ years.

Idler Precision, extended lifespan

The idler’s carefully positioned placement, combined with a 3-point side cover connection, ensures optimal suspension performance, stiffness, and extended bearing life.

Hidden yet accessible cable-routing

The cable gutter design keeps your cables tucked away whilst still easily accessible. The gutter system adds additional strength to the frame whilst also providing accessory mount points.

Proven Design

Why High-Pivot?

The Deviate high pivot point suspension systems provide a smoother, more confidence-inspiring ride by minimising pedal kickback and maintaining momentum over rough terrain. The rearward axle path effectively absorbs square-edge impacts, preserving speed and control, while geometry conservation under braking ensures stability and keeps the rider in the ideal position for tackling challenging obstacles.

FAQs

How much sag should I run?

We suggest around 30% for most riders, but this will vary depending on terrain and personal preference.

Do I need to join chains?

No - a standard 126 link chain will work with even a 12 speed Shimano or Sram set-up.

What headset do I need?

ZS44/28.6 upper and a ZS56/40 lower headset cup.

Can I mount a chainguide to The Claymore?

Absolutely. We have two lower ISCG-05 tabs which allow the use of a lower guide/bash.

Can I fit 27.5” wheels to the Claymore?

We have the Claymore and Claymore MX. The Claymore MX is designed specifically for a 27.5" rear wheel. The standard 29er is designed to only work with 29" wheels but you can purchase a rear-swing arm from us to switch the standard Claymore into a mullet.

What fork should I run?

We suggest a 170-180mm fork with a 44mm offset. A 51mm offset is compatible and will lead to a slightly more lively steering feel. We do not recommend triple clamp or dual crown forks with the Claymore. This will void the warranty.

Is it UDH compatible?

Yes - unless we specify otherwise, all our latest frames are UDH compatible.

Can I run an oval chainring?

In short, yes.

However, you must make sure that the chainring is clocked around 89 degrees. Some cranks do not allow for this, so please be sure to check with your crank manufacturer first.
