Deviate Claymore Factory 2026 Full Build

Overview

Speed Without Sacrifice

Inspired by the medieval Scottish two-handed great sword, known for its strength and symbolism of the rugged Highlands, Deviate’s award-winning Claymore embodies this legacy - crafted to conquer the world's most challenging terrains. Now available in a new range of colours inspired by Scotland’s heritage, this long-travel enduro bike is as striking as it is capable.

The 2026 Claymore Factory is built for one thing: getting you down the hill faster, smoother, and with fewer stops at the tool bench. 165mm rear travel, a 180mm fork, and a high-pivot layout that stays composed in chaos. Point it down anything.

Every part on this build is race-ready. The new FOX 38 GRIP X2 and Float X2 Factory suspension offers improved traction, support, and tuneability. The wireless Shimano XTR/XT Di2 drivetrain delivers flawless shifting—no cables, no compromise. Braking comes from Shimano XTR 4-pistons, with a 220mm front rotor for maximum control under pressure.

We’ve spec’d Reserve HD alloy wheels laced to ONEUP hubs, with Continental Kryptotal Enduro SuperSoft (front) and Downhill Soft (rear) tires. These won’t flinch in a rock garden or a week-long stage race.

Tech

Grease Ports as Standard

Grease all major pivot and linkage bearings without the need to do any disassembly with 7 built-in grease ports across the bike. Typically, bearings don't need replacing for 2+ years.

Idler Precision, extended lifespan

The idler’s carefully positioned placement, combined with a 3-point side cover connection, ensures optimal suspension performance, stiffness, and extended bearing life.

Hidden yet accessible cable-routing

The cable gutter design keeps your cables tucked away whilst still easily accessible. The gutter system adds additional strength to the frame whilst also providing accessory mount points.

FAQs

Where can I find the user manual?

View User Manual

How much sag should I run?

We suggest around 30% for most riders, but this will vary depending on terrain and personal preference.

Do I need to join chains?

No - a standard 126 link chain will work with even a 12 speed Shimano or Sram set-up.

What headset do I need?

ZS44/28.6 upper and a ZS56/40 lower headset cup.

Can I mount a chainguide to The Claymore?

Absolutely. We have two lower ISCG-05 tabs which allow the use of a lower guide/bash.

Can I fit 27.5” wheels to the Claymore?

We have the Claymore and Claymore MX. The Claymore MX is designed specifically for a 27.5" rear wheel. The standard 29er is designed to only work with 29" wheels but you can purchase a rear-swing arm from us to switch the standard Claymore into a mullet.

What fork should I run?

We suggest a 170-180mm fork with a 44mm offset. A 51mm offset is compatible and will lead to a slightly more lively steering feel. We do not recommend triple clamp or dual crown forks with the Claymore. This will void the warranty.

Is it UDH compatible?

Yes - unless we specify otherwise, all our latest frames are UDH compatible.

Can I run an oval chainring?

In short, yes.

However, you must make sure that the chainring is clocked around 89 degrees. Some cranks do not allow for this, so please be sure to check with your crank manufacturer first.
