Accolades

Pinkbike

"The high pivot causes the wheelbase to grow when you push into a corner and the bike stays low and level when hard on the brakes, which makes it feel even more stable and surefooted than the geometry numbers would suggest.”

- Seb Stott

GMBN - Top 5 Trail Bike

"This is a trail bike for those who like to push the limits on rougher terrain. It’s full 29er, full carbon, and it comes with fully sealed bearings and interestingly, grease ports too, so it should be faff free maintenance”

- Anna Cipullo/Owen Coutts

Tech

Grease Ports as Standard

Grease all major pivot and linkage bearings without the need to do any disassembly with 7 built-in grease ports across the bike. Typically, bearings don't need replacing for 2+ years.

Idler Precision, extended lifespan

The idler’s carefully positioned placement, combined with a 3-point side cover connection, ensures optimal suspension performance, stiffness, and extended bearing life.

Hidden yet accessible cable-routing

The cable gutter design keeps your cables tucked away whilst still easily accessible. The gutter system adds additional strength to the frame whilst also providing accessory mount points.

Proven Design

Why High-Pivot?

The Deviate high pivot suspension platform delivers exceptional performance by utilizing a rearward axle path, which enhances bump absorption and maintains stability over rough terrain. This design reduces pedal kickback and improves braking efficiency by minimizing geometry disruption under load. The result is a smoother, more controlled ride, offering superior traction and comfort for tackling technical trails and challenging descents.

FAQs

How much sag should I run?

We suggest around 30% for most riders, but this will vary depending on terrain and personal preference.

Do I need to join chains?

No - a standard 126 link chain will work with even a 12 speed Shimano or Sram set-up.

What headset do I need?

ZS44/28.6 upper and a ZS56/40 lower headset cup.

Can I mount a chainguide to The Highlander II

Absolutely. We have two lower ISCG-05 tabs which allow the use of a lower guide/bash.

Can I fit 27.5” wheels to the Highlander II?

In short, no. Our Highlander II was designed around a 29" setup and changing the wheel sizes will dramatically affect kinematics and ride qualities. It will also void your warranty.

What fork should I run?

We suggest a 160mm fork with a 44mm offset. A 51mm offset is compatible and will lead to a slightly more lively steering feel. We do not recommend triple clamp or dual crown forks with the Highlander II. This will void the warranty.

Is it UDH compatible?

Yes - unless we specify otherwise, all our latest frames are UDH compatible.
